I Need Constant Access to the Visual Thesaurus

Animals taking different shapes
to look more or less                      animal

ladies undressed into twiggy birds

what more can you ask
than my rapt attention

I follow a train of images back to my own name
and still have trouble picturing my face
without a mirror

husband you are floating features too and everywhere
I've ever been                  an undocumented wash

husband is to globe           as cat is to blueprint of the house

my brain ignores my nose   perpetually in purview

I make a map of thoughts you uttered
while asleep
and another of feelings
             we try
but cannot voice

I tracked your hormones
on sheet music

you make a smart ditty

I require your shape
