I Use My Body

The last time I called you it was memorable
I asked you to search for money with me
To help me find good examples of money in myself
That don't involve me using my body
As a barrier or a passageway

You said "Look, I don't play that way"
The echo was weird in the parking garage
My brain was an underutilized muscle
Puffed grotesquely under my hair
So flexed

Sometimes I use my body and it isn't even trying
It just lolls around me like a big self-repairing suit
Last week I gave myself a stab wound to the dermis
And this week it knits together like magic
Or a Christmas vest for a dog
Which I would give away
If I knew someone
